1234

Alhamdulillah,
despite the fact that i'm currently busy doing my project paper ,tests etc
i finally have the time to update my blog
i think it was such a long time since my last post
i supposely need to finish my entry at Kota Pariaman
but i don't have much time to do that
i need to find one suitable and fine day to do all those things
i'm missing my time where i can sit and finishing my books
all the novels that i bought since these past three years
and 2012 i think is my travel year
this year i have been to 2 countries
which are Indonesia and the latest China
when i have finish my final exam in middle January
i will keep my promise to update the story when i was in Indonesia and China
there are lots to share
and i have to admit that i learnt a lot this year
especially when u are in another country
u have the tendency to be grateful for whatever u have

respect,respond, relax..

these few weeks i were busy
and i just don't have enough time to rest
the fact is i couldn't sleep
or even if i'm sleeping i will wake up early
or every one hour i will wake up
i just don't know
maybe there are lots of things bothering me
i did lots more to do
i tried my best to balance my study and my other works
yeah u have lots of responsibilities
and i need to settle my project paper
i have meeting with my supervisor tomorrow evening
and i don't finished my part yet
i know every students are busy
no matter what type of courses u take
i just believe that everyone had 24 hours
not more not less
and i hate people who are keep on sighing
and then condemning others
just because your course that you take
in my opinion everyone is the same
the difference is how you manage your time
so people stop comparing you with others
i hate comparing people
because even you take professional courses
it doesn't mean that u are the richest or u'r the busiest people on earth
have respect and relax
because as a students our life is not only in the circle of studies
we learnt not to pass the exam or get good grades
we learn because of Allah..

we care mission day 2

assalamualaikum
i would like to continue on my story when i was in Kota Pariaman Sumatera Barat Indonesia
on the 2nd day we were working on four groups to fulfill our mission
yes our delegates consists of two groups which are the medical groups and i was under education group
our task is to teach them mathematics and english
and we have problems in terms of language barrier
but alhamdulillah it was ok
on 2nd day i went to primary school which the indonesian called as sekolah dasar
at this sekolah dasar i was given two classes which were combined into one class
and it was difficult because even though they were 11 years old but they acted like they were in standard one
which i have to change my module
we played more games and learnt only basic english and mathematics
the students did not well behaved
but i understand that they didn't have full equipment as they didn't have a single paper or books
but it was a good lesson for me
and i'm grateful because i'm well prepared as i always expect the unexpected
btw i really enjoy my day
because in the evening we went for a walk around kota pariaman

scuba diving

2012 has been my travelling year i guess
i've been to many places and yet to many programmes
and one of my unforgettable memory is when i did my scuba diving licence
i've been sponsored by uitm together with few other peoples
thanks uitm !!
i should say that scuba diving is not very easy
u have to be mentally and physically strong
three days in tioman island had brought me to be one of the open water diver
and i should say that not every body can be open water diver
unless u are rich because the cost is rm 1k+
i'm not really sure but it's not that cheap
alhamdulillah and i should be grateful
i don't have any pictures when i was under the sea
yeah u need special camera for that which i can't afford to buy one
insyaallah when i have more money i will buy one
and i could go for diving again
but it was very beautiful when u are deep under the water
so far i have gone to 16m below the water
and i can see lots of beautiful corals and fishes
and also i got a chance to meet mr.patrick hhahaha (starfish)
and also gamat (please google)
but till now i haven't gone to any scuba diving trip
because u need buddy to accompany u while u'r under water

majlis perwakilan pelajar (MPP)
and it will be a great honour when u have the chances to be one of them
but at the time u want to go for it
u will think twice
as i'm not that into MPP
u know that u have the knowledge
u have friends to support u
but deep down in your heart
u know that it is not your place
i've given the chance but in the middle of the time, i withdraw
because i want to be what i want to
i want to spent my last years as normal people
i just want to do things i want to do
even though i feel guilty to all my friends
but i have to
sorry phana,atiq,lyn,k.long n izza
i just want to be someone i used to be
a girl that u have known since asasi or since my first semester in my degree
maybe this is the best i can do
and to nurus,
tq for your support
i think u know me more than i do
we sometimes share the same feeling
u have once in debate team
and in the middle of your journey
u also choose to be normal people
i just want to have more times for my friends
and at this point,
i really miss my asasi friends
thanks so much nurus!!! xoxo

tentang hijab

so far my first year of being a 'hijaber' had been an amazing experience. an eye-opener.

i remember how the first few days of wearing tudung, i didn't know how to belit the selendangs so that it doesn't move. i remember the struggle and the long process of trying to belit my shawls nicely. it was a challenge even, to make my friends treat me indifferently from before. of course, i understand some of them feel they can't talk about certain subjects with me anymore because of my 'new appearance'.

the thing is, i am still the same person.
maybe i have changed, i don't know. but whatever it is, i only pray the changes are for the better.

anyway, after asyik fail je pakai tudung belit even while watching tutorials on youtube, i've decided to just wear it as comfortably as i can, ignoring the trend then. soon after that, i made that video tutorial.

but i realised after how i was 'bashed' in youtube and my blog, i did not cover my aurat properly.
some comments hurt me to the core and made me depressed too for a while because i couldn't understand ; i pakai tudung ni, lagi ramai nak condemn condemn. bila i free hair bukan main orang suka dress i la, suka rambut la, etc etc. aurat yang i dulu suka nak tunjuk, takde lak orang marah. skang dah tutup, ramai lak nak comment. aneh kan?

that did not stop me from making videos though and after several videos, i admit, i terhanyut. i was noob then. i was overwhelmed with the attention i got from my videos that i got over my head. lagi lagi after the scarflets. we got called for photoshoots, we received invitations to events, and all that jazz. in the beginning, it was very exciting. but alas, it's very misleading..

at one point, dato' gave me a 'reality check'. he made me think, and he made me realise how i've strayed from my intention.
to be closer to Allah SWT.
so i'm taking myself into that direction again. however, some damages has been done.

i notice more and more hijabers are into photoshoots. i notice that photographers have 'muslimah photoshoot' or sewaktu dengannya. i realise there are contests in facebook yang the grand prize mesti ada 'photoshoot'. and then, the participants mesti ada yang gambar memang dari photoshoot ngan photographer mana entah siap watermark kat picture tu kan. and i notice some proudly call themselves 'model muslimah'.

kalau nak ikutkan definition 'muslimah', it means a muslim woman. regardless of the person being a hijaber or not, a muslim woman is a muslim woman.
but for some reason, in this generation, muslimah immediately means a hijaber. aneh.

i myself am a woman, so i know and completely understand the need to look good as a hijaber (especially) because dressing up and being covered from head to toe is not as easy as those who choose not to be covered. so it's like a challenge kan.
don't have to be in denial la..
everyone have that "i nak nampak lawa" moments. even guys (hehee!). so when i said "some damages has been done", i meant that, in one way or another, i had probably encouraged hijabers to think fashion and photoshoots are.. good..

i used to make statements like "who says muslim women can't dress up? who says women with hijab can't model?".
now i feel like slapping myself, because it should be "i wear the hijab, i cover myself up, because i am a muslim". i should respect the hijab for what it represents and not make it seem like its just a cloth on my head like an accessory.
the purpose of hijab is to cover our aurat and wearing it makes it obvious to everyone that we are muslim whereas dressing up, wearing make up, looking pretty basically is only for our self-satisfaction.

and in my opinion, it's not wrong to want to look good. not at all.
it's not wrong to like photoshoots or whatever self-vanity related activities.

fashion is fun to follow too, i get it, but it's making us lose focus.
for example, we go online and we look at lookbook to know what's the latest trends. we get inspired, we hurriedly head on to a shopping mall or blogshop and hang around looking for that piece of clothing we pictured. then we spend money. sometimes distracted punya pasal, solat tak khusyuk. sometimes nak sangat baju tu, sampai solat pun tinggal. the same goes to modelling.

fashion becomes an obsession. modelling becomes a passion.
beautification becomes a necessity.

muka bogel takde eyeliner pun dah rasa resah. dapat gambar photoshoot, rasa bangga sampai upload merata-rata (blog, tumblr, facebook, twitter, etc) expecting people to tell you how good you're looking. parallel to that, jadi riak, and riak is salah satu attributes yang Allah SWT hina.
*slaps myself real hard*

how la like that?

what will happen if the younger generations who wears the hijab terjebak with all this craze and influenced by it, thinking that looking good, being fashionable and photoshoots are more important than learning/improving? how about when they start to crave for fame?
i worry that they will spend more energy on being beautiful and getting noticed, hence become more materialistic and self-obsessed than they should be, forgetting the fact that whatever were given naturally, are blessings from Allah SWT.

then what's the reason of wearing the hijab? what happened to 'modesty'?

nak cantik, boleh. nak fashionable, boleh. nak buat pape pun, boleh.
tapi dalam Islam, it's best to keep everything in moderation.
kan?

i apologise deeply if ever i made you think that hijab is a fashion statement..
it's not.
it's a religious statement.

if i can go back to the past, i would give my noob self a good flying kick!

and i apologise if in this post, i offended anyone. it's not my intention to attack anyone (directly or indirectly) but it is mine to share my observations and experiences.

and here's a friendly reminder:
Surah Al-Imran

salam.

ps: i hope i made sense throughout this post.. coz i'm writing without planning. straight from the heart la camtu. sedih dengan diri sendiri and sedih dengan apa dah jadi ngan dunia hijab. and again i'm sorry.

pps: those of you who questions my niat, siap nak i prove myself ("actions speaks louder than words" etc etc), know that i don't have any obligation nor intention to prove anything to anyone. i only want to change for Allah SWT to see, for He is All Seer and we, i'm afraid, are not. please don't judge me from what i've written. thank you for your support/encouragement! ='D

ramadhan datang dan pergi

assalamualaikum dan salam ramdahan,
rasa sayu bila malam tadi pegi trawikh sbb mengenangkn malam ni last terawikh
satu bnda yg sy suka bulan ramdhan kt rumah ialah terawikh
sbb terasa kuat sgt berjemaah dkt surau..
alhamdulillah
teringat ceramah ustaz malam tadi
tapi betul2 melatih diri mengekalkan rentak ramdhan sambil bekerja
alhamdulillah
bersyukur kerana Allah beri kekuatan
dan malam ini malam terakhir bertarawikh
semoga dapat merasai manisnya kenikmatan ramdhan
insyaallah amin

Who Am I ?

alt

When I was a child, I often wondered why Allah chose to create me and send me to this world. Why was I destined to exist in this world? I was taught that I had a God. Allah is my God. And that I have to live by Islamic rules because that's what Allah asks me to do or I would be sinned if I don't. But I never really knew why.
One day, I felt a sudden urge to attend a talk on aurah and hijab which was organised by Islamic NGO, 'We Are Beautiful, Allah Loves Us' at Masjid Wilayah, Kuala Lumpur. My initial intention on attending the talk was only to know how to cover my aurah properly. Little did I know that I would take home more than that. I learned the real reason of why need to cover our aurah in the first place AND why we should do what Allah told us to.
I don't deny that one of the reasons we (women) need to cover our aurah is so that men will recognise we are Muslimah, so we need not be disturbed (because, well, we don't want men who likes to 'charm' ladies in our life - we want a husband). But after attending the talk, I realise that the real reason of why we are told to cover our aurah is simply because Allah loves us.
Everything that Allah told us to do will ease our life on this earth. He sent us the Qur'an and sunnah so we have guidance on how to live our life the RIGHT way. Everything that Allah told us to do actually benefits us, not burdens us. Allah gives us guidance because He loves us.

For example, we are told not to gossip because gossips can become a 'fitnah' and affect the life of the person being gossiped about badly. Heck, a gossip can even affect the gossiper in a bad way. A gossiper is never at peace. He or she is always finding another person's fault to gossip about. Come to think of it, I have never felt at peace after a gossip session. I would feel worst. And that is why Allah told us not to gossip. So that we can live a peaceful life. Again, Allah loves us that much. He wants us to be at peace.
I finally understood Allah's love for me. But then, I still didn't know why I was chosen to be sent to this earth. But that's good. Because that question leads me to finding the answer.
One morning, I suddenly felt like watching TV Al-Hijrah. It was showing 'Assalamualaikum', a morning talk show programme. One of the presenters was saying something about our purpose of living. She said humans are sent to this earth to be Allah's slave AND to be a khalifah. This is based on these two verses in the Qur'an;
"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."
(Surah adh-Dhariyat, ayat 56)
"Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: 'I will create a vicegerent on earth.' They said: 'Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?' He said: 'I know what ye know not.'"
(Surah al-Baqarah, ayat 30)
Now I know why I was created by Allah and why I exist in this world - to worship Allah and be one of the leaders on this earth by doing what I love and do best and contribute to making this world a better place - so when Allah asks me on Judgement Day on what I have done while I was living on earth, I can answer that I have done both of my roles (Allah's slave and a khalifah) the best I can :)

being somebody

how do u feel when u realised that u'r no longer there
u no longer be apart of them
or even if u tried to be u have been left out
just because now u'r someone else
u have been move to another place
but u never forget the place u used to be
but when u come back for a visit
things changed
u don't feel the happiness being part of them
your heart will be broken into pieces
because u really wanted to feel the warmth being with them
it is something that u need to bear with
because you'r now longer be part of them

mid semester

assalamualaikum w.b.t
i'm currently at home and it really feels good being home again after months living in shah alam.. and since i was home i had requested my mom n my adik to cook me asam pedas etc... because u can't get asam pedas in shah alam.. or even if there are asam pedas i don't think it really feel good.. since i was home during my birthday, i went to mph bookstore and bought two novels.. and again i can say that i'm a big fan of cecilia ahern and ramlee awang murshed.. i bought their latest novel and i'm hoping that i can finish reading it.. actually since my new semester had begun, i already bought two books which i'm not finished reading... which are doctor in the house and house rules by jodi picoult.. i already find some times to read it but i'm too busy with my works... in the next three weeks before my final examinations start, i had lots of tests, presentations, mooting and i had to finish my proposal for my research paper... i'm always feeling enlightened  every time i bought new books because i really love reading.. happy holidays and may allah ease :)

my twin

http://akumenulissepertibiuku.blogspot.com/2012/05/pre-celebration.html

assalamualaikum,
alhamdulillah masih dapat merasa nikmat hidup dan bersyukur dipertemukan dengan orang2 yg baik hati, yang sentiasa menyokong sy... dari awal hingga akhir... dahulu saya pernah menyatakan yang saya tak percaya untuk  mempunyai kawan baik.. sebab bg saya kawan boleh datang dan pergi.. hinggalah bila saya menjejakkan kaki ke asrama.. hidup di sekolah asrama menjadikan saya merasakan kawan adalah keluarga saya... hati saya tersentuh apabila melihat video yang dibuat oleh sahabat baik.. bg sy sahabat baik saya adalah keluarga saya.. she was my sibling and she will be my sibling forever... in my life i met lots of people and most of them really made me touched.. and honestly when i watched this video i cried.. because i really feel her presence.. and it made me feel guilty because i'm afraid that i'm not be the one who will always be on her side when she needs me... even we are in different class yeah she supposedly be on my batch but due to some reasons she needs to sacrifice one semester.. and i really feel sad on the day she said she wanted to extend her semester.. because in my class i only have her.. and everyone knew it... and in fact i cried.. it has been 4 semesters or more or less one year.. but our friendship never fade away... even we rarely met.. but we know that in our heart we are twins... we shared the same feeling and thanks nurus sakinatul fikriah binti mohd shith putera for the video... i really love you and may our friendship last forever and ukhuwah till jannah ...ameen ~~~

my say

it would be lovely when u know the true meaning of friendship
to be honest i'm not a person who can easily get angry
i can say that i'm not too sensitive
yeah maybe there are times i would be very sensitive
but mostly i'm not
when u love your friend u will never get touched
or u can't easily let all your anger and hatred overcome your friendship
maybe u will feel touched, sad
but it won't make you away from them
because you know that deep down in your heart
and their heart that we can go through all these together
when i get older
i realised that i appreciate life moreand i even can appreciate myself and never give up
we know that this heart scared easily
i know there are certain situations where my level of confidence is low
but i could say now i'm strong because all my families and friends will always be there for me
insyaallah ameen..

technology vs elderly

assalamualaikum
i think it have been long time since my last post
i would say that i'm getting busy so i don't really have enough time to do blogging
but never mind
yesterday i met an old lady
and she was sharing her past experience
and i realised that even we live in a modern world
but we should never forget the old persons
i think that got more experience than us
and she even said to me that she can't do facebook etc
and she said that sometimes it was sad when they have been left behnd in this modern world
she even said that sometimes technology which are spreading too fast
make them living in a world of different i would say
yeah there's no term of world of different it was my own terms
by the way it's very good experience having heart to heart talk with the elderly
:)

listen.read.analyze

assalamualaikum
hudud law? what is acually hudud law? as we can see most of malaysia who are muslim they tend to promote the application of hudud law in malaysia. but yet they don't really know what is actually hudud law. i think we malaysian have this kind of thinking. they tend to accept all the facts without doing a good research. i am not an expert in hudud law as i think it's not really hudud law. this is because we tend to accept anything which have been said by the ulama' without doing research. i'm not saying that i'm opposing the ulama' but we have to be very carefull because today it's diffficult for us to trust anybody and even ulama'. i had been to ceramah maulidurrasul a few weeks ago and the ulama' said that today we have to be very careful with statements made by ulama'. we have to really know that our main sources of islamic law are al-quran and as-sunnah. and the secondary source of islamic law are ijma' ulama', qias.. but if we look today they are lots of things in which the ulama' are against each other. i'm not sure either there's real hudud law as i know in al-quran the punishment towards the criminal offendor must be fair. and i have looked through several opinion from different people and both had given good argument. i don't think that i really know about this matter. but i just want to remind all muslim that we can't trust anything based on one source. but what can i say is that even malaysia is not applying hudud law we cannot label malaysia as secular state. and there's no verse in al-quran ever mention that those who are not applying hudud law can be regarded as 'kafir'. because as we can see in al-quran there's no mention of punishment for each offence. and through my readings, hudud law only applicable to certain offences such as adultory, theft etc. i don't think that i'm eligible to wrote about this issue. but please don't believe only in one source. do research and decide by yourself. and i just like to highlight something from my readings

stop arguing people :)

assalamualaikum..

this is something which i would like to comment
i don't know
i think the whole worlds nowadays always talk about politik
and even when statement being made by someone
either politician or not
people tend to consider it as politic
and then they all start arguing each other
"kelantan negeri termiskin"
no offence to kelantan people ok
but how about this
"sabah negeri termiskin"
let's think about it
both these state are run by different political party
and when we look at the statement made
it was made by people who are opposed to that state
therefore i would like to advise the kelantan or sabah people
not easily got tempered with all these statements
i think if u can see that there still lots of poor people around you
you should admit that your state are still in the state of poverty
i have been to these state
and i should have admit that i can still see poor people
just like in any other state
and honestly
if u'r fan club of any political party
don't u dare to be friend with me
because i will not entertain your ideologies
yeah i will vote one of these parties
but i don't like people who are oppressive
when they talk they talk with anger
not by reasoning and logical mind

p/s: that's why i hate when someone post about politic.. especially in facebook or tweeter...

Anas bib Malik said:

He presented to the Messenger s.a.w. barley bread and soup containing pumpkin, and slices of meat.
Anas said:
I saw the Messenger of ALLAH S.W.T. going round the dish,
ate that pumpkin with relish.
So I always liked the pumpkin since that day."

Anas r.a. reported:
“GOD’s Messenger s.a.w. used to like pumpkin.
If a dish of bread, meat and broth was put before him,
and it contained pumpkin,
he would pick up the pumpkin.
I do like to eat pumpkin because the Prophet loved it.”

PESANAN IMAM HASSAN AL BANNA

Pesan Imam Hassan Al-Banna

1. Bangunlah segera untuk melaksanakan shalat apabila mendengar adzan walau bagaimanapun keadaanmu.

Telaga Kauthar

assalamualaikum w.b.t
pernah dengar perihal telaga kauthar?

- Sultan Abdul Hamid II Khalifah Uthmaniah

mustafa kamal atartuk

yesterday i finished another book
a book about mustafa kamal atartuk
he was a first president of Turkey
he was idolised by the western country as a father of modern Turkey
bu in the eyes of muslim, he was a traitor
and by reading this book i finally know the meaning of "Yahudi Dunamah"
which means the jewish people who had converted to Islam but still practising the jewish belief
in Islam we called them as 'Munafik'
and he was also the people who was responsible for the falling of Daulah Uthmaniah or Uthmaniah Empire
he abolished the caliph system and introduced the western system of secularism
secularism means separating the religion from the administration system
and it was really sad when Konstantinopel or known as Istanbul fall into the hand of western country
have you ever heard of the story of Sultan Muhammas Al-Fateh?
he was the man who bring back Konstatantinopel to the hands of Islam
and i woul like to quote hadith from Rasulullah S.A.W
" Konstantinopel akan jatuh ke tangan pemimpin yang baik, tentera yang baik dan rakyat yang baik"
i think for further elaboration i might suggest this book for you to read
please click here..:)
