al-ilm or ilmu or knowledge is important for every human
we learn since we were baby
formally u will get almost 12 or 13 years of formal education or more
but do we ever think of the sincerity of learning
are we sincere enough going to school for studying?
wake up early in the morning and return home in the evening?
u got a doctorate degree and being called as dr. even though u'r not a medical students
and nowadays u can choose any course u want
and there'r lots of courses being offered by university or any higher learning institutions
do we go to class and always have the objective that
"i'm going to class because of allah..as my ibadah in the akhirat"
or are we..
"i'm going to class because i want to get good results so that i can have a good job and become a rich person"
whatever reasons we need to do it because of Allah
and when we did it sincerely
and when we didn't get a good result we will always think it as ujian allah
Allah give us what we need not what we want
i hope that in the month of ramadhan
we will be more sincere learning and studying because of Allah
remember that life is a journey and not a destination
u will gain your knowledge throughout your life
it is not how many degrees u have
or which university u'r coming from
the best part in your life is
when u can use your knowledge to help people

i would like to quote something which i find it usefull:
"Seharusnya seseorang yang mempelajari sesuatu ilmu adalah untuk mendapat keredhaan Allah, namun jika dia mempelajarinya adalah kerana untuk memperoleh kesenangan dunia, maka dia tidak akan mencium bau syurga pada hari Kiamat." (Hadis Ibn Hibban)
